Caring Campus is designed to foster a classroom and campus environment where students feel connected, supported, and empowered to pursue their educational goals. Faculty will explore evidence-based behaviors—such as using students’ names-in-use, communicating clearly, and creating moments that matter—that strengthen student belonging and engagement.

Learning Objectives:

1. Describe the goals and framework of the Caring Campus Initiative.

2. Identify faculty-specific behaviors that promote student connection and persistence.

3. Apply Caring Campus strategies to classroom communication, assessment, and engagement practices.
