Description:
This is not a required course. Participation is voluntary and optional.
This session will provide faculty with foundational knowledge and practical strategies to protect personal and institutional data in digital learning environments. Participants will explore common cyber threats—such as phishing, ransomware, and account breaches—and learn how to safeguard their devices, accounts, and course materials. The session will also highlight SAC protocols, password hygiene, and secure use of platforms like Canvas, Zoom, and Microsoft 365.
Learning Objectives:
1. Describe common cyber threats and their impact on higher education.
2. Identify best practices for securing devices, accounts, and instructional platforms.
3. Apply SAC guidelines to prevent breaches and respond to suspicious activity.
