Description:
This is not a required course. Participation is voluntary and optional.
This session will provide faculty with practical tools and strategies to ensure digital course materials are accessible to all learners. Participants will explore how to design content that meets legal standards and supports diverse learning needs, including students with disabilities. The session will highlight key accessibility features in Canvas, Microsoft tools, and SAC templates, with hands-on guidance for remediating documents, videos, and online resources.
Learning Objectives:
1. Explain the importance of digital accessibility in supporting equitable learning environments.
2. Identify common barriers in course materials and apply strategies to remove them.
3. Use built-in accessibility tools to check and improve documents, presentations, and media content.
