This is not a required course. Participation is voluntary and optional.
This session provides faculty with step-by-step guidance on implementing the “Zero Rule” in Canvas to ensure accurate grade calculations and timely student feedback. Participants will learn how missing assignments impact final grades, how to apply default zero settings, and how to maintain grading transparency while supporting student accountability.
Learning Objectives:
1. Explain the purpose and impact of the Zero Rule on gradebook accuracy and student outcomes.
2. Demonstrate how to apply default zero settings in Canvas for missing assignments.
3. Evaluate grading practices for consistency, transparency, and alignment with institutional policy.
