This is not a required course. Participation is voluntary and optional.
The Alamo Colleges District is proud to launch its Annual Records Management Training. This engaging and essential training is designed to strengthen institutional compliance, enhance operational workflows, and support the secure and responsible management of records across the Alamo Colleges. Effective records management is critical to maintaining the integrity, security, and accessibility of institutional data. It also plays a key role in litigation preparedness and ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
Learning Objectives:
1. Understanding and applying Records Retention Schedules across departments and teams.
2. Best practices in file organization, retrieval, curation, and security.
3. Procedures for the lawful and timely destruction of records in accordance with statutory guidelines.
As required by Texas Government Code Chapter 441, all employees of the Alamo Colleges District are legally obligated to manage, safeguard, and dispose of records
