What research topics will your students be exploring?
My classes are 1 hour and 30 minutes (late start). Time permitting, I would like the instruction to include: 1. Overview of library services. 2. TexShare card (I give extra credit if students obtain this) 3. Top 5 most useful research websites to include, ACADEMIC One File, OPPOSING VIEWPOINTS and Peterson's Test Prep 4. Career Databases to include O*Net and Occupational Outlook Handbook. Throughout the semester, my students will analyze two peer reviewed articles, including completing a critical analysis of at least one article. The students will also use the career databases to research their chosen career and produce an ePortfolio with their findings. The overview and exposure to the instruction requested will be the platform on which they build these assignments which fulfill two EDUC Student Learning Outcomes.
