What general area of research or topics will your students be exploring?: Students will be writing a general research paper and an analysis of an advertisement
What will your students do or create with the sources they find?: ENGL Assignment 2 is an Argument Research Paper. One of the keys to success in this assignment is devising a thesis that is sufficiently narrow and focused so that you can research and argue the topic thoroughly using high quality sources. You are required to submit a list of five topics, from which I will choose one. Satisfies ENGL 1301 Learning Outcomes 1-5. ENGL Assignment 3 is an Analysis of an Advertisement. In this essay, students will describe and compare the advertisement’s presentation and its argument, critique the ad’s logic or logical fallacies, and, most importantly, evaluate the effectiveness of its appeal to its designated audience. Academic Research is required; minimum 4 sources. Satisfies ENGL 1301 Learning Outcomes 1-5.
