What general area of research or topics will your students be exploring?: 1. Students will write critical literary criticism of literary work based off of a prior short written, literary analysis. 2. Students will support their interpretation with outside sources: A) Critical literary references / books; B) Literary criticisms / articles; C) Audio-Visual sources 3. Students will include general background info.: A) Significant influences on the writer's work such as other writers, personal life events/relationships;language B) Historical/Social/Cultural events/influences; C) Social/political/Religions influences, beliefs or cultural movements in music, fashions, etc.  
What will your students do or create with the sources they find?: The points I wrote in ":general area of research" are more appropriate for this section. I confused the two area! Please refer to the above. The general areas of research are Poetry, Drama, Fiction. Examples are from the ancient periods and represent a diverse range. Topics from Vol. A include The Hebrew Bible, Early Egyptian poetry, THE EPIC OF GILGAMESH, THE ILLIAD/HOMER, PLATO/SYMPOSIUM, VIARGIL THE AENEID; THE BHAGAVAD-GITA, Confucius / FROM ANALECTS Vol. B: THE CHRISTIAN BIBLE, Augustine/Confessions, BEOWULF, Marie De France / LANVAL, Dante / THE DIVINE COMEDY/ THE THOUSAND AND ONE NIGHTS, Sei Shonagon, THE PILLOW BOOK
