What general area of research or topics will your students be exploring?: Biography of Chicano/a Artist  
What will your students do or create with the sources they find?: Create a Power Point Presentation including the following information about a Chicano/a artist they were previously assigned in class: I - Brief Biography: Name Date and place of birth Early life events Family background II - Struggles and successes in life, how did he/she overcame them. III - Reasons for success, major achievements. IV - Main art pieces. Main work of art. V - Contributions to Chicano Art. VI - Sources of information, include at least two scholarly sources. Please be ready to present your Power Point in class.  
On the day students attend the library class, **at what point will they be** in their research process?: specific research topic defined; they will need help evaluating evidence to address specific ideas or questions  
Notes (different start/end time, requests, etc.):: I have several books that I would like to share with my students where they can find information about their artist. Do I put these books on reserve or how can I go about it? In addition to these books, I would like them to use two scholarly sources, a total of 3 (minimum).
