 be presented by: \n\nDr. Barbara Hong\nVice President for Student 
 Success\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nAUDIENCE: FACULTY\nSeries Overview: Each 
 session will be devoted to discussing current issues that occurred or are 
 re-occurring in their classroom. How should you handle behavioral issues\, 
 prevent disruptions\, defend academic freedom and free speech\, and sustain 
 a well-managed classroom. Topics will be generated based on previous 
 discussion\, urgency\, and prevalence on campus. \n\nSession Description: 
 This session provides faculty with an overview of their rights and 
 responsibilities when supporting students with disabilities. Participants 
 will explore how to balance accommodations with maintaining academic 
 standards.  \n\nObjectives:\n\n1. Identify faculty rights and 
 responsibilities under disability accommodation laws (Section  504\, 508\, 
 ADAAAA).  \n2. Recognize how to collaborate effectively with Student 
 Accessibility Services to support students who are at-risk.\n3. Understand 
 best practices for maintaining academic standards while providing 
 accommodations.
